Okay, hold on. The folks who are running this specific adoption and sale will do everything in their power to make sure the horses are going to real homes and safe homes. I have known them to load a mustang for an adopter, take the horse to the adopter's home, decide the home is not fit and hold onto the horse until everything is up to speed. I saw them pull together and find an adopter for a troubled gelding whose next stop would have been an open sale. The head office of BLM is absolutely nuts but the folks in NJ have the horses' best interests at heart. Should most be on the range? Yeah, but that ain't happening right now so you find another $150 dollars a month for hay and you sleep a little less and you take another horse who needs to be out of holding pen.
